Privacy policy

Effective date: March 27, 2026

Information we collect

When you create an account, we collect your name and email address through our authentication provider (Clerk). When you build a resume, we store the content you enter — including work history, education, skills, projects, and any photo you upload. If you connect your GitHub account, we import your public repositories and contribution data.

How we use your information

We use your information to provide and improve the service: storing and displaying your resumes, publishing them to your chosen subdomain, generating PDF exports, and syncing GitHub data at your request. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Published resumes

When you publish a resume, it becomes publicly accessible at your chosen subdomain on cloudresume.io. Anyone with the link can view it. We track an aggregate view count for each published resume — we do not collect personal information about visitors (no IP addresses, browser fingerprints, or tracking cookies).

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate cloudresume.io: • Clerk — authentication and user management • Supabase — database hosting • Azure — application hosting and file storage • Sentry — error monitoring (may receive error logs and basic request data) • Stripe — payment processing (when you subscribe to a paid plan, Stripe handles all payment information directly; we only store your subscription status)

Data storage and security

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Supabase. Uploaded photos are stored in Azure Blob Storage. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your rights

You can export your resume data at any time in JSON Resume format. You can unpublish your resume to remove it from public access. You can delete all your resumes from the settings page. To delete your account entirely, contact us at support@cloudresume.io.

Cookies

We use essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Children's privacy

cloudresume.io is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on the site.
